Connecting Longevity, Integrative Medicine and the Future of Healthcare in Yogyakarta
As conversations around longevity move beyond simply living longer toward living healthier for longer, the future of healthcare is increasingly being shaped by prevention, lifestyle, functional medicine and integrative approaches.
That conversation took centre stage in Yogyakarta at the Indonesia Wellness & Integrative Medicine Conference (IWIMC) 2026, held from 28–30 August at Grand Mercure Yogyakarta. Under the theme “Becoming Super Agers,” the conference brought together perspectives across longevity, genomics, nutrition, exercise, hormone health, functional medicine and integrative healthcare — different disciplines united by the shared goal of helping people live healthier, stronger and more resilient lives.
For us, it was also the beginning of something new.
MRET® is now available in Indonesia.
But bringing MRET® into a new country has never been simply about entering another market. It is about bringing the conversation around water, hydration and everyday wellness to more people — one community, and one country, at a time.
And in Yogyakarta, that conversation began with something we all encounter every day: water.
Bringing the MRET® Experience to Yogyakarta
Water is so familiar that we rarely stop to think about it. We think about how many glasses we drink. We remind ourselves to drink more when the weather is hot, after exercising or when we feel thirsty. But hydration is part of a much bigger picture than simply how much water we drink. Our bodies depend on water continuously, and understanding hydration at a deeper level has always been at the heart of the MRET® journey.
At IWIMC Yogyakarta, we had the opportunity to introduce MRET® Molecular Resonance Effect Technology to doctors, healthcare professionals and participants from Indonesia and around the region. Some were discovering MRET® for the first time. Others wanted to understand the technology behind it and how it fits within a broader wellness lifestyle. For Pegasus Aqua, creating opportunities for these conversations is an important part of why we continue bringing MRET® beyond Malaysia.
A Vision That Goes Beyond Borders
Founder and Director - Lim Keong Han
Pegasus Aqua was founded by Lim Keong Han with a vision for MRET® that extends beyond building a business around the technology.
From the beginning, he saw the potential for Pegasus Aqua to do something bigger: to bring MRET® beyond Malaysia and give more communities around the world the opportunity to discover, understand and experience the technology for themselves.
That vision has since grown into part of the company’s wider Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment — to make knowledge surrounding MRET®, hydration and everyday wellness more accessible, while creating opportunities for meaningful education and engagement in the communities we enter.
For us, expanding internationally is therefore not simply a matter of placing MRET® in as many markets as possible.
It is about reaching people.
It means meeting healthcare professionals and listening to their questions. It means allowing practitioners to understand the technology rather than simply presenting them with a product. It means creating opportunities for people to experience MRET® firsthand and decide how it may fit into their own approach to wellness.
In that continuing journey, Indonesia is an important chapter.
As one of Malaysia’s closest neighbours, Indonesia shares many of the same conversations we are seeing across Southeast Asia — a growing interest in preventive healthcare, healthier ageing, nutrition, functional medicine and more integrative approaches to wellbeing. The conversations we experienced in Yogyakarta reflected that clearly. Doctors, practitioners and participants were not simply looking for another solution. They were curious about how different elements of health connect — and how the choices we make every day may contribute to how well we live and age over time.
Wellness is rarely about one thing. Water alone is not the answer to everything. Neither is nutrition, exercise, sleep or any single technology. But hydration is one of the fundamentals that accompanies all of them. And sometimes, improving the way we think about our health begins by becoming more conscious of the things we already do every day.
Our time in Yogyakarta was another step in that journey — bringing MRET® into a new community, starting new conversations around hydration, and continuing a vision that began in Malaysia but was never meant to stop there.
One community. One country. One step at a time.
